General Chit Chat

So I live on Oahu, Hawaii. As you can imagine, there are a lot of places to do cool island things. For example, I live on a peninsula of sorts and at the end is a popular spot for jumping into the ocean off of a small cliff. I've never jumped, but most of the people I know have. Its not that I'm scared, or that I don't want to, I've just never been in a circumstance where the group I'm in was jumping. (Its not something one does alone).

I guess this thread is a question: do any of you live near a popular tourist attraction or something similar but have never done it yourself?

No cliffs in Houston; however, I've always wanted to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel.

I am near the Y Mount in Utah, but I've never been hiking. Never hiked Mt. Timpagoas, never hiked the Y. Never going to either because I hate hiking.

Thats a good reason, I never liked hiking much either. Unfortunately, the reward here is beautiful waterfalls, so I go with my friends every couple of months.

Live near a tourist attraction?  Stylish, historic Savannah GA and quite a few Civil War sights.

As for jumping ... hey, Bella Swan did it, you weakling!  lol  I'll probably just stick with my Airborne if I stay in the military (and go back to an actual Airborne unit to do it for that $150/month extra).  If I could try (read: afford) skydiving, I probably would!

I got employed in a nearby theme park (just for the holidays) and I had never been there before as a visitor.
