Epic Starcraft Dream...
I know most of you don't play Starcraft anymore (let alone Starcraft 2, since this is a Starcraft 2 dream), but... I thought I'd share this:

I had a dream last night that was plain epic.

I was in school... at my university, and guess what attacked? The Zerg (as usual). There was a scene with the Zerg inside one of our main buildings that we call the WILK. It was a bunch of Hydralisks, and they were trying to kill fleeing students. One of my friends (who was nameless in the dream) made a hologram of himself (from his science project) and somehow made it physical and gave it mutations like claws and stuff to fight the Hydralisks. It was pretty effective until the Hydralisks clawed hologram to death.

The next thing I remember from the dream is meeting a person who lived out in the middle of nowhere in a icey cold desert. He told me about the Zerg and their threat. Next scene I was in, there were Mutalisks patrolling my school. One of them was circling me. For some odd reason, I was able to contact the guy from the icey place and asked him what the Mutalisk was doing. "Mutalisks tend to circle their prey. It would be best if you went indoors," he said. So, I went into a normal building, using the emergency doors to get in before the Mutalisk could get to me. It was a building with no windows, so I felt like I was safe from it since it couldn't see me.

Then, I finally got outside to see the Terran (Dominion? or Raynor's Raiders? I'm not sure which) arrive with some Battlecruisers and a couple of Vikings. The Vikings landed and turned into their mech mode. I dunno why, but hey, it was a dream, so they shot down some of the Mutalisks from the ground with their machine guns. Then, the battlecruisers yamatoed the crap out of the Mutalisks and one of the Vikings exploded for no reason (and Liberti Fatali from FF8 was playing in the background). It was really epic, the last thing I remember hearing was my own thoughts: "War had come to our world."

And then my alarm went off, and I woke up.

Dang it, that was an awesome dream, I wish I could have seen the end of it. Tongue I didn't even play SC2 very much, yet I had this dream... very interesting.

Epic Starcraft Dream...
This sounds horribly familiar. Did you post this somewhere else some time ago?

Re: Epic Starcraft Dream...
Aegis, I think by now it's obvious that you have intense dreams in relation to that which you have recently spent prohibitive amounts of time engaged in. Seeing as how this is not the first time you've had a dream deeply involved in video games, I am beginning to see a pattern here.

As for me, I just have weird as HECK dreams. I suppose it's possible for music like that to be a part of your dream; I told you earlier about a dream I had of watching a movie where the credits were rolling with background music that I hadn't listened to in years. And don't even get me started on the dream where I was flying a Pyro-GX while wearing extremely embarassing attire. >.> Or the one where I was playing Majora's Mask late at night and the snowy area in north Termina Field was collapsing and leaving barrels of root beer behind that I sampled by suddenly being IN the game (No, it doesn't make sense in context.) Or the one time that there was a guy with an assault rifle shooting at me down a hill NEAR MY OWN HOME (and I was hit!) Although there was this one awesome dream where I was someone else with superhuman agility and a hand crossbow, fearlessly fighting a vampire in a dark, night-shrouded medieval village.

Maybe as you get older your dreams start to become more coherent and sensible... Obviously, due to my lack of general interest in Starcraft, the odds of me having a Starcraft-related dream are 0+. (For you non-statistics folks, 'astronomical'.)

...and yet, through all this, I wish she would have given me a warning. Maybe then, all this could have been avoided, if she had sent me off with just one simple, obvious warning:

Don't lick the Phazon.

Nope. Unless you visit Sc2mapster or Sc2pod.

Stun: I actually haven't spent THAT much time with Starcraft. There are people who have spent much, much, much more time than I have. I usually have dreams about something I'm obsessed with months or even a year after I start being obsessed with it. Tongue

I enjoy having dreams like those, where you wake up and go, "that was awesome!" Its a great way to start your day. I also have dreams where I experience things I've never experienced before, and they seem impossibly real.

My lucid dreams usually involve tornadoes in some way. Sad
